For over 10 years, Container Conversions has proudly supported the Zululand Rhino Orphanage in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, playing a meaningful role in the protection and rehabilitation of South Africa’s most vulnerable wildlife, the Rhino. Founded on compassion, purpose, and innovation, our partnership with the orphanage has gone far beyond a simple donation. Through the strategic use of converted containers, we’ve helped create vital infrastructure that directly supports the care, healing, and safety of orphaned rhinos.

Over the past decade, Container Conversions has designed and supplied a range of tailored, functional spaces for the orphanage’s unique needs. Each container conversion was developed in close collaboration with the Zululand Rhino Orphanage, ensuring every unit met specific care requirements and aligned with conservation goals. These include:

• A custom-built kitchen area, used to prepare the young rhinos’ food.
• Feeding and sleeping areas, complete with heating lamps to keep the baby rhinos warm during the cold winter months.
• Accommodation and office facilities to house and support the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to care for the animals.
