Founded in 1985, Container Conversions has proudly served South Africa for more than 40 years.
Over four decades, we have grown alongside our customers, industries and communities, remaining committed to delivering reliable, adaptable and quality container and modular solutions.
In 1995, the Murray family purchased Container Conversions, beginning a new chapter in the company's story. Since then, the business has remained family-owned, with a commitment to consistency, reliability, and building long-lasting relationships at the heart of everything we do.
Our journey beyond South Africa’s borders began in 1996, when we proudly completed our very first export. It was an exciting milestone that opened the door to new opportunities and international markets.
As our business continued to evolve, a new chapter began in 2007 when we welcomed Imbewu Capital Partners as a strategic partner. Their involvement has strengthened our foundations and supported our ongoing development. Our heritage continues to evolve, while our core values remain firmly rooted in who we are.

The acquisition of Big Box Containers in 2023 further broadened our product range and geographical reach, allowing us to serve more customers and deliver an even wider range of modular and container solutions.
Today, our offering ranges from standard units to fully customised conversions, providing scalable and adaptable solutions designed around the unique requirements of every project.
